This ministry is a powerful tool for illustrating the Word of God.”11:30 - 12:00 School of the Osage Choralettes - Sam White, music teacher, and the Choralettes, will return for the second year to perform for the group. We were so very impressed with both the quality and the behavior of the students, and the excellent, professional leadership by Mr. White when they performed for us last year, so, we wanted a “repeat”. Our school has achieved the highest rating by the state of Missouri - A SCHOOL OF DISTINCTION. Congratulations to the faculty and staff of our good school! Very few schools achieve this rating. 12:30 - 1:00
ARE YOUR HOME AND GIFTS SAFE FOR CHRISTMAS?
Getting ready for Christmas? For some, the season that shows us the immeasurable Love of God, and gives us the wonderful family gathering time, eventually becomes the most stressful and “hurried” time of the year. Young families are trying to make enough money to take care of the day-to-day bills just to “stay in the black” financially, and sometimes succeed in “maxing out” their credit cards, and will possibly be paying for this year’s gifts - for all of 2001. Middle aged adults sometimes have to take money out of savings in order to buy “sufficiently” for a growing list of family members. Senior adults sometimes find it difficult to spread their retirement income/limited savings around an even larger family membership list.Does it seem that Christmas is just about money and gifts? Should it be? We each have the choice to change, at least, a little, if we choose to do so. Some ideas: Determine to do something for someone who may be alone during the holidays. A small gift of food, a note, a phone call, etc. could mean so very much. It would cost very little and you would receive so much of what the Christmas Season is about. Start or join a caroling group in order to bless a shut-in or a lonely person. Visit a nursing home. They don’t feel “hurried” at all. The most important message we are to get/give during this Season is, “God loved us and gave His Son.” And “Whoever has the Son has LIFE, and he that does not have the Son does NOT have LIFE.” He is the Gift that can be received by anyone - right now. A message from Pastor Clyde and Eileen: May the Lord’s blessing be upon you as you trust Him.
